> Our Vision
The Montgomery County Collaboration Council for Children, Youth and Families is guided by the strength of its vision and an abiding dedication to its mission.
A caring community with stable families, where children are healthy, safe and ready to learn, successful in school and prepared for life.
To improve the well-being of children, youth and families in Montgomery County through collaborative partnerships.
Eight values inspire The Collaboration Council's decision making about its work. They are:
Rather than focusing on problems or deficits, we help individuals, families and communities by building upon their strengths.
Support is geared to a young person’s age and stage in life, his or her culture, family and community.
Whatever we do to help elevate children or teens involves their families. This ensures the best chances for success.
Solutions always take into account the culture of the families and children whose lives we touch.
We begin with the end in mind, monitoring our progress with key indicators and other data to make sure that end is achieved.
The Montgomery County community is the source and beneficiary of our efforts. We encourage families and concerned community members to be involved, as well as representatives from local education, social services, faith and businesses in determining needs and designing solutions.
Life is a series of linkages. In much the same way, we strive to deliver comprehensive services through linkages among schools, health and human services, community-based group sand juvenile service agencies.
Supportive of a continuum of care
We believe all children and families should receive the services they need, when they need them—whether that’s preventative at the beginning of life to early intervention as problems arise through late teenage years.
